Tottenham Hotspur lose 2-3 in the Premier League to leaders Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-3 in the Premier League to leaders and North London rivals Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Kai Havertz scored the winning goal for Arsenal in the 95th minute after Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus had earlier given them a 2-0 lead.

Richarlison pulled one back for Tottenham in the 83rd minute, but it was not enough to prevent Arsenal from taking all three points.

The result leaves Tottenham in third place in the Premier League, four points behind Arsenal.

Here is how the two teams lined up:

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Romero, Dier, Lenglet, Perisic, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Richarlison, Son, Kulusevski, Kane

Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli, Jesus

The match was played in front of a sell-out crowd of 62,850.

It was a lively and entertaining match, with both teams creating plenty of chances.

Arsenal took the lead in the 21st minute when Saka scored from close range after being set up by Jesus.

Jesus then doubled Arsenal's lead in the 36th minute with a header from a corner.

Tottenham pulled one back in the 83rd minute when Richarlison scored from a cross by Son Heung-min.

However, Arsenal were not to be denied and Havertz scored the winning goal in the 95th minute.

The result was a blow to Tottenham's hopes of winning the Premier League title.

However, they will be looking to bounce back when they face Manchester United in the EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
