Indigenous voice supporter Greg Craven lashes No campaign over ‘blatant misrepresentation’
Constitutional expert and Indigenous voice supporter Prof Greg Craven is absolutely furious at being quoted in the no campaign’s official material.

A senior barrister advising the Albanese government on the Indigenous voice to parliament referendum has blasted the No campaign for “blatantly misrepresenting” his views.
Prof Greg Craven, who is the former vice-chancellor of the Australian Catholic University, said he was “astounded” to see his comments used in the No campaign’s official material, which claims the Voice would be a “third chamber of parliament”.
“I have never said anything that could be remotely construed as supporting the proposition that the Voice would be a third chamber of parliament,” Prof Craven said.
“The No campaign is deliberately misleading the Australian people about the Voice in order to scare them into voting against it.”
Prof Craven said he had been a supporter of the Voice for many years, and believed it was an important step towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
“The Voice is not about giving Indigenous Australians special treatment,” he said.
“It is about giving them a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.”
Prof Craven urged Australians to reject the No campaign’s “fear-mongering” and vote Yes for the Voice.
